Chamber Bulb 2020

The 2020 Camden Christmas bulbs are still available for purchase! This collectors bulb features the Camden United Methodist Church located at 132 Main St.

Founded in 1820, this year marks the United Methodist Church’s 200th year in Camden. From 1852-1969, The United Methodist Church was located near the Village Park on the corner of Church and Second St. Construction of the current church was completed in 1969 at which time the steeple from the original church was moved to Camden’s Town Hall. It can still be seen on top of the Town Hall today!

The new church was completed in 1969 at the site of the location of the Frisbie Mansion. The church’s architect, Camden resident, Lorimer Rich, is famous for his design of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC.

With its rich history and unmistakable design that Camden residents and visitors have enjoyed for many years, the United Methodist Church makes a great addition to Camden’s annual Christmas bulbs.

How to Purchase: Bulbs are $7 each and available for purchase locally at Garden of Gifts, Access FCU, M&T Bank, and the Chamber information Center at Eastern Shore Associates in Camden.
