THE GARDEN OF GIFTS Wins The CAMV Member Grant Award

Three businesses were awarded $3,000 in grants and prizes on Monday night during the second annual Grant Award Reception. The Camden Area Chamber of Commerce’s very own member The Garden of Gifts won the Grand Prize. The grand prize was $1,000 cash award and $500 in advertising from Roser Communications. The two runners up received $500 in cash and $250 in advertising from Roser Communications. This year the alliance received 14 applications, from seven area chambers.

The Grand Prize winner was The Garden of Gifts, a member of the Camden Chamber. The two runner ups included Foothills Rural Community Ministry/Trenton Farmer’s Market, a Trenton Chamber member and RJT Products, LLC, a Rome Chamber member.

The Garden of Gifts will be purchasing an embroidery machine, in order to expand their products and services to include embroidering items such as shirts, hats and tote bags, as well as custom orders and embroidered Camden items.

The Garden of Gifts is located at 64 Main Street in Camden so look for their new items in the near future.

Georgia Grant of Mystic Stamp is presented a plaque of appreciation for her seven years of faithful service to the Camden Area Chamber of Commerce. Presenting award is incoming Chamber President Barbara Crist of Harden Furniture and incoming Chamber Secretary Samantha Weber of AXA Advisors. Georgia served from 2006 - 2013.

2013’ Camden Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner

This year’s 2013’ Camden Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner was a wonderful event. The Citizen Of The Year, Jr. Citizen Of The Year, and Organization Of The Year were all very appreciative of their awards. The 2013’ Citizen Of The Year was Jeff Moore, 2013’ Jr. Citizen Of The Year was Cassilyn Wolff, and the 2013’ Organization Of The Year was Relay For Life.
